Jonesboro, Louisiana

December 14, 2004

The Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Town of Jonesboro, Louisiana met in regular session at their regular meeting place, the City Hall, 128 Allen Avenue, Jonesboro, Louisiana at seven o’clock p.m.

Mayor Essmeier called the meeting to order and Mr. Stringer led the Pledge of Allegiance and Mr. Wiley gave the Invocation.

The roll was called and the following members were present:

            Mayor:  Don L. Essmeier

      Aldermen:  Randy Shows, Aaron Stringer, Terry Wiley, Nancy Zuber

          Absent:   Randy Layfield

Motion by Mrs. Zuber, second Mr. Stringer approving the minutes of the November 9, 2004 meeting.  All voted in favor and the minutes were approved.

Motion by Mr. Shows, second Mr. Wiley approving the monthly bills for payment.  All voted in favor and the motion carried.

Representatives from Star Entergy Services came before the Mayor and Board of Aldermen to present their views, after doing a study, of our water system and how it could be improved so we would get more accurate meter readings and increased revenue.

Motion by Mr. Stringer, second Mrs. Zuber to adopt resolution in support of conservation of water.  All voted in favor and the resolution was duly adopted.

Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Mrs. Zuber, second Mr. Shows.  All voted in favor and the meeting was adjourned.
