Jonesboro, Louisiana

April 12,  2005

The Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Town of Jonesboro, Louisiana met in regular session at their regular meeting place, the City Hall, 128 Allen Avenue, Jonesboro, Louisiana at seven o’clock p.m.

Mayor Essmeier called the meeting to order, Mrs. Zuber led the Pledge of Allegiance and Mr. Layfield gave the Invocation.

The roll was called and the following members were present:

            Mayor:   Don L. Essmeier

       Aldermen:   Randy Layfield, Randy Shows, Aaron Stringer, Terry Wiley, Nancy Zuber

            Absent:   None

Motion by Mrs. Zuber, second Mr. Stringer approving the minutes of the March 8, 2005 meeting.  All voted in favor and the minutes were approved.

Motion by Mr. Layfield, second Mr. Wiley approving the monthly bills.  All voted in favor and motion carried.

Mr. Kenneth Folden, CPA, presented the 2003-2004 Town of Jonesboro Audit to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen.  He encouraged the board after reviewing it if they have any questions to come by his office for a one on one discussion.

Motion by Mr. Shows, second Mr. Layfield authorizing the Mayor to sign all necessary papers relative to the Airport – Obstruction Removal Project.  All voted in favor and motion carried

Motion by Mrs. Zuber, second Mr. Shows to adopt Resolution #986 requesting funding assistance with the Airport – Obstruction Removal Project.  All voted in favor and resolution was duly adopted.

Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Mrs. Zuber, second Mr. Shows.  All voted in favor and the meeting was adjourned.
